Great resources. I really like how 3D Logic has a chat room for helping out. Can't wait to check it out at school and see if it's blocked.

I stumbled across Bloxorz last week and added it to my class maths blog. Also added this one that students were enjoying: http://www.dyson.co.uk/about/games/telescope.asp

Hi Julie!

Thanks for these. Plato said in "The Republic" that knowledge gained through compulsory means never stays with us - that it is what we learn through enjoyment (or play) that we remember and really learn. Long live games!

Now, just so you know - I tagged you on a Wordle challenge. Here it is:
1. Create a Wordle from your blog’s RSS feed.
2. Blog it and describe your reaction. Any surprises?
3. Tag several others to do the same.
4. Link back to the two taggers before.

You can find my wordle and Paul C at quotereflections' blog address at:

Thanks for these. Will be able to add extras for the boys (usually) to play. Free Rider was a popular game at school http://www.playmotorbikegames.com/games/Free_Rider_2.html

Have you also tried Free Rice www.freerice.com
My homeroom (yr 9) played it happily every Friday for 5 minutes. Competition to see who could donate the most rice in the time available.
